I find that, with age I have become increasingly more vulnerable to retching audibly at the mere mention of the band, “Metallica.” Given my condition, if you are a fan of the band, and like to talk about them, we likely won’t be friends for very long. Don’t take it personally. I’ve never been one to judge fans for their tastes, but I’m done hearing about them. I’ve spent the the past several decades quietly waiting for them to die off so we can put this whole silly business behind us. Regarding one band amongst many who defiantly survived MTV, I’d sooner drink myself into a stupor whilst listening to “punk-trap” or some similar noise before subjecting myself to glorified posers who chose the limelight over core values. Thanks for coming to my TED talk. Now scram.

I watched a documentary years ago and had to listen to Lars complain for the bulk of his air time, and I just checked out.
I dig Enter Sandman when it comes on the radio, and Ride the Lightning did what it did, but beyond that?
Which band were we talking about?
Couldn't have said it any better if I tried. \m/
